Manila Bay considered as the best natural harbor of East Asia, the country’s biggest shipping ports as well as ferry terminals, fish port, and yachting marina. Its orientation towards the South China Sea allows the country to benefit from the current trend of trans boundary development and trade with the rest of Asia and the world.
The NCR Region 3 and 4 contribute around 55% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). These regions account for almost one-third of the country’s agriculture, fisheries and forestry production; and 64% and 60% of the contribution of the industrial and services sectors to the GDP, respectively.
